Sandra Stannard
Sandra Stannard is one of the biggest reasons this project is in motion. She has spent years focusing on the manufactured housing industry and was a driving force in the senior project and master thesis work. She is the primary adviser for 3 of the 4 team members and an priceless resource with years of teaching, practice and a solar decathlon competition under her belt.
Joan and David Anton
The Anton's provided us with a physical lot and the funding to realize this concept. Additionally, their assisted labor and tools have been invaluable throughout the construction process. Without their assistance, this project would have never happened.
Vitruvian Building System
The Vitruvian Building System, pioneered by Duane Heil, has been an integral part of the EcoFab concept from the beginning. The structural foam and steel panelized system is produced through streamlined digital fabrication process producing little waste. Rapid construction of the prefab elements, a tight thermal envelope, and long lifespan are all integrated into the VBS product.
Paul Morabito
Paul Morabito is a high end concrete contractor in San Luis Obispo, who emphasizes in concrete countertops and finish work. He is in charge of everything concrete related in this project, from the foundation to the finished countertops.
Green E-Board
Jonathan Reich
Green E-Board™ is a better environmental alternative and upgrade to replace gypsum drywall and cement backer boards for walls, floors and counter tops. Meets and exceeds, IRC, ASTM and ANSI. We will use Green E-Board for interior and exterior cladding (prototyping for exterior cladding).
Jonathan Reich has been a great resource to bounce ideas off of, having decades of hands on design and construction experience himself.
