Click on the link to see a neat time lapse of the process! We used 2" rigid XPS and brought it part way up the stem wall to limit thermal bridging.

Click on the link to see a neat time lapse of the process! Our average slab depth is right around 6 inches. We were targeting 5 inches, but compaction of the decomposed granite and sand led to a slightly thicker slab, resulting in a slightly higher cost, but more thermal mass!
