36% of American households have an income of $35,000 or less, the same income as the average manufactured home resident. Not only are there a lot of households with that income, but there are many people under 50 to whom an affordable attractive prefab home would be appealing.
Stigmas and loftiness
The challenge is that for many people the idea of a manufactured home comes with a stigma attached - an image of old trailer parks. On the flip side, many companies have developed beautiful prefab homes that seem great in magazines, but not so great when our average resident goes to the bank to get approved.
What about performance
Unlike most manufactured home companies that simply stick a larger heater or air conditioner on a unit to make it “fit it’s climate”, EcoFab actually designs and builds their homes to specifically respond to an intended climate.
